Card Captor Sakura (カードキャプターさくら) is a shoujo series created by the esteemed four-member manga-ka group CLAMP. It spanned 12 volumes in graphic novel form from 1996 to 2000. An animated series was created in 1999, its duration lasting 70 episodes over three seasons. Through international licenses and distribution, the series has become one of the most prominent titles in the realm of anime and manga in the world, especially in the shoujo genre.

The series focuses on Kinomoto Sakura, an ordinary girl who is suddenly pulled into a world of magic and adventures when she unwittingly unleashes the Clow Cards with magical powers she was unaware of having. With the help of others, she becomes a Cardcaptor, diving into adventures in order to retrieve the cards while unknowingly finding herself in the entanglements of young love as well. Seems a bit much for a 10-year-old, wouldn't you agree?

Seeing as how the series has gained some age, the articles in this site have been written with the assumption that the readers already know the basic storyline and all the characters that participate in the series. I apologize to anyone in advance who still remains in the dark about this series. Spoilers aren't marked, and if you really are new to the series, then you're standing in the middle of a minefield. Don't hurt me, okay?
