Lifetime
I can't quite remember how I got into fanlistings, but I was an anxious newbie to the whole business of fanlistings back in 2003. Maybe it was a stumble upon someone's domain and finding a collection of links to sites that were approved by a single site*. HTML was a blooming hobby with me at the time, and with this discovery of fanlistings, I thought, "Why not give this a try?" It definitely proved to be great practice. To go without a domain and work by hand, not knowing the comforts of scripts... it was arduous at first. I juggled dozens of Geocities accounts for each fanlisting. But I was content, albeit frustrated sometimes. Then I met Asuki, someone who became my host, teacher, and a good friend.
Until Never Nothing, my fanlistings had never received a proper home. By proper home, I mean to say a collective that housed them and explained their purpose. Officially, I can say it took about four years to construct a formal collective, but it's better to be late than never, right?
In hindsight, I'm satisfied with the way my web design career turned out. With learning and good friends, I find myself here. I admit, I still have much more to learn, but I still wouldn't have it any other way. Fanlistings comprise a huge chunk of my years as a webdesigner, and it's difficult to tear myself away.
* A few years back, The Fanlistings and The Anime Fanlistings used to be one site.
