When Kayashima is first introduced in Hana Kimi, his character doesn't appear to possess a major role but as the storyline goes along, you see that Kayashima does have a lot of development and does have much to contribute to the story itself. He's very quiet but because he keeps his silence, he can pay attention to others and interpret their actions, being the adult of the group.

Because of his unique ability to see ghosts, Kayashima had a difficult time establishing relationships with other people. Of course, after meeting Nakatsu, that changed and he was pulled into a ring of accepting people, like Mizuki and Sano. He mostly brings some comedic relief to Hana Kimi because he interrupts people while they are deep in thought but does make up for it with wise advise or comfort.

Of all the characters in Hana Kimi, he seems one that is most detached. He doesn't express any kind of romantic feelings, even though he certainly receives loads of attention from girls (for love charms, no less). A blank expression graces his face most of the time and he doesn't seem to stress over matters like how Sano, Mizuki or Nakatsu do. He's very balanced and calm.

Aside from seeing ghosts, Taiki is also a bowling genius and can be found in truly weird positions while doing yoga. The yoga is really something to see. REALLY.

SPOILER: At the end of Hana Kimi, all the characters grow up a bit and when you see Kayashima, he's working as a summoner but still attending school. You can see that his interest in the occult certainly takes a big part in his life.

The Layout

Well... I thought Color Aura was a nice title, although originally, it was supposed to be Another Sense but I forgot that the title was on the side of the layout when I was in Photoshop. As for the image, I forgot which chapter it came from but I enjoyed coloring it. I think so far, this is my best fanlisting layout.
